About the roleThe Italian restaurant is a fine-dining establishment in Karachi seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, uphold high standards of service, and grow a reputation for exceptional Italian cuisine. You will manage front-of-house teams, coordinate with the kitchen, and ensure a consistent guest experience aligned with the restaurant's premium positioning. The role requires strong leadership, operational oversight, and a customer-first focus to maintain smooth service during busy dinner and special-event periods.
Key responsibilities• Lead, coach, and schedule front-of-house staff including hosts, servers, and bartenders; conduct regular briefings and provide performance feedback.
• Oversee daily floor operations to ensure timely seating, order accuracy, and efficient table turnover while preserving guest comfort and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the head chef to coordinate service flow, special menus, private dining, and event execution.
• Manage reservations, guest relations, complaint resolution, and VIP service to build repeat business and positive reviews.
• Maintain inventory control for service supplies, glassware, and front-of-house stock; coordinate purchasing with suppliers and partners.
• Implement and monitor food safety and sanitation standards in line with local health regulations.
• Control costs through inventory management, labor scheduling, and basic P&L oversight.
• Coordinate event and private dining logistics, including service timing and menu collaboration.
Job Specification:
- Proven restaurant management experience in a fine-dining environment with strong guest-service orientation.
- Staff leadership: hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management for front-of-house teams.
- Operational skills: reservation systems, POS management, seating strategies, and service flow optimization.
- Financial acumen: cost control, inventory management, labor scheduling, and basic P&L understanding.
- Customer relations and complaint resolution with a calm, professional approach.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and local health regulations.
- Event coordination: private dining and special-event service timing and menu collaboration.
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages; ability to brief teams and liaise with suppliers.
